Slice of Life: Snowstorm - January 7, 2010

Walking around town in the snow today with my CrappyCameraPhone™.  It's very quiet in Chicago.  For a time, I was the only person at Caribou Coffee across from Millennium Park.  Normally, getting a seat here is impossible during daylight hours, let alone at lunchtime.

  1. I love the last photo.

Cloudgate and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion have a mysterious north triberly monstery feel because of:
    -the monochromatic palette
    -snowy misty air
-the vantage point. Lines of trees lead to the Gehry on the horizon and Cloudgate creeps in from the right
-the traffic is veering to the left as if to avoid the creepy Millennium Forest which is the home to the heavily-armed Gehry Fortress of Solitude and the fierce Abominable Snowbean

    Beware!
