Slice of Life: A Man and His Bird

Living on the North Side means becoming familiar with how to pronounce the name "Goethe."  Whether you're into German philosophy, or just trying to find your way around, this is going to come up eventually.

This statue in Lincoln Park has a plaque reading:
To
Goethe
The Mastermind of the
German People
The Germans of Chicago
1913
