Traffic Jam on the Chicago River

Passenger traffic seems to have really picked up on the Chicago River this year.  In this photo, taken in warmer days, we can see three boats vying for space at the same dock.  One wants to pick up passengers, one wants to unload, and the yellow one in the back wants to do both.

If you didn't get a chance to take a Chicago water taxi this year, it's a great way to see the city without the expense of a full tour.  And if you have people in from out of town, you can show them a full Chicago experience by taking the water taxi down to Chinatown, and then the Red Line back to the Loop.
